WholeLife Giordano Bruno GlobalShift University supports the design of its educational system in the most up-to-date pedagogical theories. Our model is based on two primary philosophical and pedagogical pillars:
a) Inward (introspection). This pillar contains and sustains the basis of the traditional institutional organic and bio-epistemological perceptions.
b) Outward (facing the world). This pillar sustains the formative fundament (historic, dialectic, identity and criticism) contained in the design of the preparatory (World I, II and III) curricula.
The first (a) boards a complete reconsideration of the vertical educational process of authority and subordination in the institution ⁄ student ⁄ teacher relationship. In this renovated educational model we propose a horizontal and multidisciplinary relationship of the students with their class, generation, school and even trans-generational interaction.
This same point questions the bio-epistemological relationship of the known lateralization of the brain, of the linear logical processes versus the holistic neuronal process of information facing the potential capacity for spatial and multidimensional perception of the right brain hemisphere.
Point (b) addresses the alienated relationship between the individual and the world, specifically religion, politics, economics and culture. Here, the historic-philosophical infrastructure of our educational platform centers in the analysis of etiology of culture specifically in the origin of the human phenomenon of subordination, authority, power, affiliation, identity, stratification, discrimination and conflict. The purpose is that of building a perspective of initial self-knowledge, from which the student can develop sound criteria in the process of acquisition of knowledge. This will be implemented in the technological and original instrumentation in our system through WholeLife.
WholeLife will be the centerpiece of the operating system of the Giordano Bruno GlobalShift University, because it will allow unifying and synthesizing all of our educational fundaments, such as: a) General knowledge acquisition; b) Learning; c) Methodology; d) Professional Training; e) Specialization; along with avant-guard ideas such as those mentioned above about synergy (parallel to verticality teacher ⁄ institution), horizontal interaction and finally, the fostering of interdisciplinary communication through the exercise and multidimensional analysis of the subjects of study in the framework of holistic and critical thinking.
Our University's Social and Transcultural Experience
The Giordano Bruno WholeLife page can be defined in three important process stages: a) A face page presenting the student (photo and bio) and the title of the work he or she is developing. Here will be included, an abstract or thesis that summarizes the essence of his academic presentations, and the space that contains the body of the essay, together with graphical and audiovisual resources, that will allow the student to expose and enrich his work. In this same space, once he has finished his presentation, the student will have the option to enter a forum for a transverse discussion with his classmates and others, either in a closed invitation mode to a minimum of 5 classmates or in an unrestricted open fashion. This (among other things) will be the basis to access the inter-university socialization experience, joined with the transcultural experience. b) The second stage will take the student's work to a debate, through the design of the columns of dialogue and argumentation where the participants will have the possibility of knowing the student and the debaters as their photo and bio will appear in this space.
Students could also have the possibility of moving from GBU to other social networks (Facebook, Twitter, etc) if they decide to meet "outside" their exclusive academic WholeLife Page. An elemental function of this page is that debates will have limited time, after which students will proceed automatically to the next step, which is the evaluation and collective grading of the student's work. c) In this last step, participants will deliver their evaluation through the system in a timeframe of no more than one week, assuming the responsibility of justifying their grading in a frame developed for that purpose. Here, the system must have the capacity of automatically calculating the final grade. Once the result is obtained, it will be averaged with the multiple option examination.
